| Using Best Practices in acute care, long erm care, home care and community settings.
In conjunction with some of our educational
forums, WAGECC has collected Best Practices from interdisciplinary
providers and family members and put them in the Compendia
offered here. We are grateful to the individuals who
shared their special methods “that worked” for delivering healthcare services for the older persons
in their charge. As you read these Best Practice submissions,
note that the settings vary, but that most of the practices
can be replicated in almost any venue. Please feel free
to:
- Use the Best Practices to teach yourself new methods
of care;
- Select and share the Best Practices with your staff
and colleagues as a handout, newsletter article or
website address;
- Experiment with these ideas and let us know how
you changed or improved them;
- Send us your best practices so that we can continue
to offer innovative ideas for improving care to our
mutual colleagues.
