| A web based interdisciplinary
teaching case
Mrs. G. was written and produced by faculty and staff
of the University of Maryland Baltimore to emphasize
the importance of professional collaboration in working
with the older adult.
Mrs. G is a frail community-dwelling older adult who
visits a comprehensive geriatric assessment program
in her community, and benefits from the interdisciplinary
assessment which provides recommendations to Mrs. G.
and her daughter in supporting Mrs. G. as an individual
who, despite frailties, may be continue to live safely
in her home.
The Case of Mrs. G. will demonstrate how medical, nursing,
social work, dental, physical therapy, law and pharmacy
professionals might interview and assess Mrs. G's needs.
The case provides a series of references for further
study.
