Since WAGECC's inception in 1994, we have had frequent
requests from area academic and community-based organizations
to recommend expert speakers for in-service trainings
and educational events. Rather than recommending one
speaker at a time as we have in the past, the WAGECC
Interdisciplinary Speakers Bureau will recommend interdisciplinary
panels of speakers in order to facilitate quality interdisciplinary
learning experiences. Here's how the new Interdisciplinary
Speakers Bureau will work:
- Organizations that want to request a panel of speakers
will complete a Request-A-Panel form and submit it
to WAGECC. A copy of the Request-A-Panel form is included.
- WAGECC will contact potential panelists based on
the topic and other information supplied by the requestor.
Once a panelist accepts the invitation, he/she is
expected to keep the appointment. The reputation of
our Interdisciplinary Speakers Bureau depends on that!
- WAGECC will reimburse each panelist according to
the length of his/her presentation within the panel,
with a minimum amount of $75.00 and a maximum amount
of $150.00. We will make every effort to ensure that
speakers will be invited to speak in locations convenient
to their place of business.
Note that the overall budget for the Interdisciplinary
Speakers Bureau will be modest for this first/"pilot"
year. Throughout the year, we will evaluate whether
the project warrants continuation.

Speakers Bureau, please complete and return the downloadable
